Making progress

I just wanted to make one more post before I leave.  Emily has been standing up this week!  She started out on what they call a "standing board."  This board can be tilted while she stands so that all her weight is not placed in her legs alone.  On Monday she stood on the standing board for 10 minutes.  She also sat on the edge of the mat for 45 minutes (she said, "and I only fell three times!).  On Tuesday she was able to stand up without the standing board and stood for 30 seconds on her third try.  Today, she was able to stand for even longer.

We are working a bit on Emily's morale.  She has been a little depressed.  I am going to work with the people there to see if we can get someone for her to talk to about everything.  I am also going to work on some sort of chart so that she can see her progress.  I think it is hard for her to see how far she has come already.  She also gets her brace on Friday and I think that will help.  She sounded a lot better today.  She is just really home sick.  

Aaron is going to bring the girls down on Saturday.  I think it will make her feel a lot better to see her sisters and her daddy.  She can go outside more now, so I think it will be a fun day.
